Real Estate Decorated Home Designer, Keri Davis, Joins Real Estate Team

The Luxe Platinum Properties/Christie’s International Real Estate team responded to the calls from many local and international clients looking for “the perfect fixer upper” on that coveted primary residence or second home, and made the strategic decision to hire local home designer, Keri Davis, as its newest realtor this fall.

Davis has 22 years of design experience, and is a member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association, where she earned the title of Certified Kitchen Designer as well as several national design awards. Davis has worked in a variety of communities, including Lake Oswego, West Linn, Southwest Hills, Northeast and Southeast Portland, the Oregon Coast and the Oregon Wine Country. Her designs were featured in a variety of publications, including Sunset Magazine, Better Homes & Gardens, Spectacular Homes of the Pacific Northwest, American Homestyle & Gardening and Oregon Home Magazine, among others.

As Oregon’s real estate sales continue to soar, the hunt to find “an amazing diamond in the rough” has become an addicting, part-time hobby for many home, vacation home and investment property seekers. While younger families continue to favor turn-key, new construction homes, the more established home buyers seek the thrill of venturing into the multi-month journey of renovating a home they can transform and make their own.

“Multiple HGTV shows and TV personalities have really inspired our clients, and many are looking for their own adrenaline rush in creating something new, while making a profit,” said Luxe Platinum Properties/Christie’s International Real Estate Affiliate Owner Terry Sprague. “There are many homes in the area that need the right kind of vision, and adding Davis to our diverse team, allows our clients an added value in understanding a property that is a smart investment, rather than a money pit.”

“As a designer, I was not always involved in the house hunting or bidding process,” said Davis. “I was often brought in after closing. Now I am positioned to directly advise my clients early on, and get a strategic plan in place to define the perfect fixer-upper property within their prescribed budget.”

Sprague knows that Davis is a missing link on many real estate teams, because many more Millennials to Baby Boomers, are really looking for a long-term project when buying a home. As a full-time realtor hire, Davis aims to offer clients visioning, estimating and a budget-conscious perspective, while referring her clients to the most respected home designers, architects and engineers in the region.
